Drink Count: 11 || "Take Me In, Tender Woman," Sighed the Snake

A. [Action: 915 Bilko Boulevard, morning]

[Oh look, there's a package on the porch for Crowley. Well, to be honest, Crowley picks it up with a glitter on the lenses of his sunglasses. So far, Mayfield's gifts to him have been good, so he really has no reason to be wary of this box. He takes it to the kitchen to open it and... He feels a rush of energy that tingles on his skin and knowledge dropped into his mind about what he has just regained: his ability to change his shape.

So, just to test it out, he suddenly takes the form of a snake and flicks his forked tongue in amusement. In fact to any of the residents of 915 Bilko were to walk into the kitchen, they would see a snake that gives the impression of being mighty proud of himself.]

Hallo.

[Oh yeah, this snake can talk.]

B. [Action: About town, afternoon]

[Crowley's trying out a different shape. He's slinking around town as a woman with raven black hair, cherry red lips, and shades. He's wearing a slinky, low-cut, white with black polka dotted pencil skirt dress and black snakeskin Louboutin stilettos. He looks like every teenage boy's wet dream: the quintessential pinup girl.

Crowley still seems rather pleased with himself, parading around town like this. Go ahead. Approach him. He won't bite. Not even you, Loki.]

C. [Action: Olney's Tavern, evening]

[Well, he's not behind the bar. He isn't allowed behind the bar tonight because he's a woman. In fact, he keeps getting disapproving looks from the patrons of the tavern.

Crowley found out he was stuck a couple hours back. It was like he forgot his favorite shape. Really, it is just a set back, though a very frustrating one. Clearly, it's been too long since he changed his shape.

He drummed his perfectly painted red fingernails on the counter before taking a sip of her Apple Crisp.]

Bollocks... I really buggered this up, didn't I?

The business of distinguishing sex and gender aside, I suppose I ought to ask you what your natural form is.

[identity profile] eyesofafemsnake.livejournal.com 2011-11-04 04:41 am (UTC)(link)
Looks rather like my usual form, but with wings.

[identity profile] tenebrousking.livejournal.com 2011-11-04 04:45 am (UTC)(link)
Then how is it that you happen to be 'stuck' in a most unusual form?

[identity profile] eyesofafemsnake.livejournal.com 2011-11-04 05:01 am (UTC)(link)
Er... As I said, I seem to be a bit out of practice. I'll probably get it right soon enough.

[identity profile] eyesofafemsnake.livejournal.com 2011-11-04 05:05 am (UTC)(link)
Unfortunately, no. But it's okay. At least I got stuck in a human shape. It could be a lot worse.

[identity profile] tenebrousking.livejournal.com 2011-11-05 02:47 am (UTC)(link)
You could be stuck as a chipmunk and then you'd be too small to have any alcohol.

[identity profile] eyesofafemsnake.livejournal.com 2011-11-05 02:50 am (UTC)(link)
You are assuming I would ever want to be a creature such as that. I was a snake earlier today. I could have been stuck like that.

[identity profile] tenebrousking.livejournal.com 2011-11-05 03:14 am (UTC)(link)
I don't think snakes have much greater capacity for alcohol, either.

[identity profile] tenebrousking.livejournal.com 2011-11-05 03:22 am (UTC)(link)
In any case, there's certainly some fun to be gotten out of a form like that. Terrorize the womanfolk, allow me to gallantly dash in and save the day, etc.

[identity profile] eyesofafemsnake.livejournal.com 2011-11-05 03:49 am (UTC)(link)
The ladies love me. You know, I was a snake when I tempted Eve to eat the fruit from the tree of knowledge.

[identity profile] tenebrousking.livejournal.com 2011-11-05 04:26 am (UTC)(link)
Yes, I believe you mentioned that. And so the blame lies on you that man's first instinct upon seeing a snake today is to shriek and run screaming in the opposite direction.

[identity profile] eyesofafemsnake.livejournal.com 2011-11-05 04:27 am (UTC)(link)
I still don't get what's so bad about knowing the difference between right and wrong.

[identity profile] tenebrousking.livejournal.com 2011-11-05 04:31 am (UTC)(link)
I believe it's more the part where we supposedly traded that for eternal life.

[identity profile] eyesofafemsnake.livejournal.com 2011-11-05 04:33 am (UTC)(link)
Adam and Eve still lived a rather long time.

[identity profile] tenebrousking.livejournal.com 2011-11-05 04:35 am (UTC)(link)
And what is 900 years in comparison to 10,000, or 100,000?

[identity profile] eyesofafemsnake.livejournal.com 2011-11-05 04:40 am (UTC)(link)
I'm not even 10,000 years old.

[identity profile] tenebrousking.livejournal.com 2011-11-05 04:41 am (UTC)(link)
I speak of possibilities here. I have no desire to live past 100, thanks.

[identity profile] eyesofafemsnake.livejournal.com 2011-11-05 04:47 am (UTC)(link)
Humans are really no good past a century. Your bodies don't handle it very well.

[identity profile] tenebrousking.livejournal.com 2011-11-05 04:49 am (UTC)(link)
And is that not the result of your actions upon the creation of the world?

[identity profile] eyesofafemsnake.livejournal.com 2011-11-05 04:53 am (UTC)(link)
Adam and Eve were starting to get really gross by 200, if you ask me.

[identity profile] tenebrousking.livejournal.com 2011-11-05 05:00 am (UTC)(link)
...Let us avoid invoking mental images that no one wishes to contemplate.

[identity profile] eyesofafemsnake.livejournal.com 2011-11-05 05:03 am (UTC)(link)
Er... Right.

But really, it's better for you lot that you have such short lifespans. Can you imagine how overpopulated the world would be if nobody died of natural causes?

[identity profile] tenebrousking.livejournal.com 2011-11-05 05:06 am (UTC)(link)
I hear vasectomies are largely painless nowadays.
