Very, very slowly, Vicki began to lower her weapon. These men were innocents as much as she was and this place was not Canada. It was warmer, for one. The grass was fresh and springy, not dead and dried from the winter. There was no park in Kingston set up like this. She couldn't see really, but all of her other senses tended to compensate for that in the dark. And her simple instinct said something was very, very wrong. Beyond her dead mother knocking on the window wrong. This was demon summoning wrong.
